In 2024, the Golden Gate Business Association (GGBA) is marking a milestone that's as impressive as the Golden Gate Bridge itself — we're commemorating our 50th Anniversary at Power Connect 2024! That's half a century of being the proud voice of the LGBTQ+ business community in the San Francisco Bay Area, half a century of blazing trails and breaking barriers.

Born in the vibrant year of 1974, the GGBA made history as both the world's first LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce and the first business organization founded by LGBTQ+ entrepreneurs. We have stood tall, weathered many storms, and have consistently bridged gaps in the business world. For the past 50 years, we have celebrated diversity, championed equality, and fostered a rich tapestry of businesses that spread across San Francisco, Alameda, Contra Costa, San Mateo, Marin counties, and beyond.

Today, we're not just honoring our past, but we're also enthusiastically looking toward the future. At Power Connect 2024, we will be honoring the legacy of our forebears while also paving the way for the next generation of LGBTQ+ entrepreneurs. We will be celebrating the successes of our members, reminiscing about the milestones we have achieved together, and planning for the brilliant and bold ventures yet to come.
